I know everyone's experiences here will vary but I can say that for me ACC was exactly what I needed and when. I spent 11 months here and greatly appreciate the input from the groups--the highlight for me. I found Tom and Sandra and the other counselors to be professional and experienced. Overall, I feel my time here helped me build a foundation for what I hope to be a new chapter in my life. I would recommend them to anyone going through a similar experience.

The owners Tom and Sandra are awesome. Their groups are very down to earth and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. I found our groups to fly by and always left with positive energy and great ideas. I would definitely recommend Arvada Counseling to anyone who may have a DUI or just need someone to talk to. Tom was great.

This place help me with my drinking problem. They helped me understand why on was onboard a self-destructive path in life, and I got the help, just enough, to fix it for myself. I appreciate it!

I was very lucky to find Arvada Counseling Center, and such an amazing staff that truly took the time to find out what I wanted from treatment. Never having been in trouble, like this DUI, right from the start everyone spent time with me explaining the entire process. Being in trouble, being in the system is not fun, and I hope that anyone that made the decision to drink too much, like me, finds this place. I'm not a big fan of "airing" my laundry with anyone, but both of my therapists allowed me to vent and then guided me into positive and constructive change, for me. After 9-months of treatment, I'm grateful and must say that I will come by and say hello, as Tom asked me to do at my discharge appointment. He also told me that I could come back to treatment as an "alumni" at a reduced cost, if I started to get off track again, but, I think I'm done with drinking, and for sure, the drinking and driving part.

Everyone here is very friendly. It is very laid back and these are discussions people can relate too. There's talk about reality with advancing communication and learn long life skills. I enjoy working with Arvada Counsling for any class.

I spent an entire year in treatment with Tom, and his staff, and found the experience rewarding. Getting into the judicial system is never fun, yet, right from the start I felt that Arvada Counseling Center, had something special to I offer me. And I was right. It was about 3,4,5,6, weeks in Level II Education that changes in my desire to learn and grow started to take off. When I got to the next part, Therapy, still a group setting things rally heated up for me and fundamentally several changes took place in my relationship with myself, my partner, and work. All I can say, is never get a DUI, but if you get one, the experience here will help with the whole DUI experience and beyond. Thanks.

I have been a client of Arvada Counseling Center since 2005. I will never forget the first time I walked through the front door there. I was a lost soul with a huge anger issue. I sat down with Tom for my intake, he asked me what had contributed to me getting arrested for DV. I gave him every conceivable excuse there was. He (Tom) looked at me and said that everything I had just told him was an excuse, and that no matter what anyone had done to me, I was responsible for what I had done. I completed my mandatory classes, and continued at least 4 years beyond that, because I wanted to make sure that I was on the right path to healing my issue with anger. I can tell you that if it wasn't for Tom, Sandra and the other staff that I came across over the years I don't know were I would be. Thank you Tom and Sandra for all the help you have given me through out the years. I have to say that all you have to do is to accept responsibility for what you have done

Hi Tom and Sandra, Marc. I just wanted to say how much I am grateful for the help during the past 14 months of DUI treatment. DUI's are not any fun, but you all helped make it enjoyable and I learned a great deal about myself.

Getting a DWAI is a very stressful and lengthy process but Arvada Counseling Center made my required therapy classes enjoyable and a memorable learning experience. Tom was my counselor and he was wonderful. He had a nonjudgmental attitude towards everyone and added humor and insight to all we learned about. Sandra was always pleasant to talk to when she was at the front desk and we also had some nice conversations. I know they are both there if I need anything even though my classes are done. I highly recommend them!

After being at Arvada counseling Center for 11-months I wanted to say thank you.....Tom, Marc, and Sandra; you all helped me through some very difficult times with my addiction to alcohol and marijuana. I always felt at ease each week during group, and some individual sessions with Tom. With Tom I expressed the personal problems that led up to my getting a DUI, and nearly getting a divorce. I respect and appreciate the help given me.I learned a lot about myself and how important my family is to me. Thank you. Rick
